124th Foundation day

Image
The 124th ISNHS Foundation Day was a vibrant showcase of talent where I served as a banner-bearer for the opening parade. Although intensive academic reviews prevented me from joining the field demonstrations, representing my level in the march offered a deep sense of pride. I watched as Grade 9 secured the championship with a spirited cowboy routine and Grade 10 captivated the crowd with an Arabian-inspired performance. Ultimately, the event was a powerful reminder that high school is defined by unity and shared celebration.

Will I make it?

"Will I make it?" That was the question I asked myself at the start of Grade 10.  Now, the answer is a resounding yes. Through every struggle, I strived and evolved.  My time in ICT was especially impactful, shifting my focus from just "getting by" to mastering digital tools like Microsoft FrontPage and sitemap design.  These technical skills taught me the importance of structure—a lesson that applied to my life outside the classroom, too. Even when the balancing act between my studies and my new extracurricular commitments felt impossible, I pushed through. I’ve realized that growth and comfort rarely coexist, and I’m better for the challenges I've overcome.

Women month

"Babae Ka, hindi Babae Lang." Every March, we don't just commemorate history; we celebrate the unstoppable force of womanhood.  National Women's Month is a tribute to the trailblazers who fought for our seats at the table and a rallying cry for the work that remains. It’s about more than just looking back—it’s about fueling a future where inclusivity is the norm and every woman has the power to lead, innovate, and break barriers. From supporting women-led businesses to advocating for equal rights, this is our collective call to ensure every woman's potential is fully realized.

A day of love

Let’s be real: Valentine’s Day gets a bad rap. Between the overpriced roses and the pressure to land a dinner reservation three months in advance, it can feel more like a corporate deadline than a celebration of love. But if we strip away the red cellophane and the giant teddy bears, there’s actually something pretty cool underneath. It’s Not Just for Couples but also for single like me The biggest myth about February 14th is that it’s strictly for the "taken." But it's not.

Intayu ilocos surr

On February 12, I joined friends at the Intayon Ilocos Sur Festival, a vibrant tribute to our music and heritage.  The evening was defined by moving performances from artists like Adie and Yeng Constantino, whose songs touched everyone in the crowd. Beyond the stage, the grand food fair offered a sensory tour of the province, with each municipality’s "One Town, One Product" showcasing the ingenuity of the Ilocano people.  It was a beautiful reminder that our culture is most powerful when we celebrate it together.
